CALLUNA VULGARIS

Buttonflower that blooms from August to October. Flower color can range from red, white, pink to purple, depending on the species. Valuable heather plant that thrives in lean, even dry calcareous soils. It is advisable to prune the plants back to about 15 to 30 cm after flowering. Always use peat or leaf mould when planting.
