A perennial with a loose, upright growth habit that can reach a height of 60 cm. Lilac-violet flowers appear from June to September, attracting bees and butterflies. Knautia arvensis prefers a sunny location in well-drained, dry to moist, chalky soil. This plant is suitable for borders, natural plantings, meadows, and bee and butterfly gardens. It is very winter-hardy and highly resistant to diseases and pests.
