Tree with light and erect silhouette. The bark changes color throughout the seasons: decorative white-green striped in summer, and later lilac-red in winter. Early budding and unfolding of the leaves. These are resistant to late night frost; reddish-brownish for a long time and then turn green. Belongs to the so-called maple species with 'striped bark'. Solitary in parks, public gardens and larger gardens.
