A perennial with a compact, clump-forming habit. It can reach a height of 15 to 20 cm and forms rosettes of fresh green, grassy, narrow leaves. From May to July, it blooms with pink flowers in spherical clusters. Armeria maritima 'Abbey Rose' thrives in a sunny location in well-drained, preferably slightly poor soil and is excellent for use in rock gardens, borders, or as groundcover. It can also be grown in pots. This plant tolerates salty sea winds and salty soil and is suitable for coastal planting. It is very winter-hardy and resistant to diseases and pests.
